The Stock Selector tool showed that there were plenty of Technology stocks near the top of the rankings, but there were also plenty of Health Care stocks. We focused our head-to-head competition on the Tech sector during class.

We also used an example of a traditionally more volatile stock versus a less volatile stock and showed how earnings can impact premiums to the point where enhanced yield improvement could be found from a less volatile stocks. Our head to head matchup was between a bank and a food company.

Energy had an extended run at the top of the tool earlier in the year, but this was its first time in 2 1/2 months that it was in the top slot. We sold a Health Care stock and bought a couple Energy securities.
