Don’t know if I’m typing in the right spot? Regarding David’s trade on the 01-16-19 Market Outlook: I noticed earlier this evening that the Ex-Dividend Date on LOW is Tuesday, 01-22-19. Can’t remember if someone who has a Long Call would get the Dividend or not … ?? Does anyone know? Also, does anyone know what David’s “tag” is ??

David’s handle is settleda I believe.
In order to get the dividend if you have a long itm call you are entitled to the dividend as long as you exercise the option meaning you would convert your option position to long stock before the ex date.
Hope this helps

I think David’s Twitter handle is:
David Settle, CMT

Mary, I don’t know where to look to find David’s tag.
On today’s q&A with Brandon I hope he will review the BOX trade.
I don’t know why the use of this trade structure would not work for an “earnings” trade. I’m practicing with it on paper money. It just seems like a great strategy, but I don’t recall it being taught.

Mary, I followed the link you sent from the Technical Aalysis class this morning and read our comment. Now I can’t find it. You asked a good question. I can’t remember it exactly, but when I studied the chart for VFC, I saw that there was no way I could have bought at a profit-making price after the market opened. VFC turns out to be a dramatic case (went from about 82 to open at 92), so maybe I’ll understand it better after more practice. Good thinking on your part!
