I wanted to share a trade experience with group that has worked out well for me.  Not sure if this is valid strategy, or I got lucky.

I have some long term (Dec-Jan expiry) vertical calls in apple, Microsoft and BX.  I entered them in January so had some profits when market tanked.  When market fell I bought the calls I had sold back at a profit.  When market bounced up I sold more calls again, repeat, repeat.  I always stayed long the calls I had originally bought.  With the volatility I have been able to make some nice moves.  One of positions is in black and still have long calls.  Another one is close to breakeven and I can sell more calls to improve position.  If apple rallies by year end to 270-280 level I may be buying another investment property, lol.  It is not for the faint of heart and takes a fair amount of margin.  I like that it is long term and gives you time to work it.
